Gale Virtual Reference Collection

These are full text electronic books with book covers, tables, pictures, graphics, table of contents, indexes, and citations. Subjects include: Science, History, Animals, Food, Countries, Leaders, World Literature, Addiction, Holidays, Biography. 

Please ask a library staff member for the access code.

Mississippi’s rich abundance of cultural and historical resources is held by institutions and repositories all across the state. The MDL provides a unified portal to search and explore the wealth of materials available in Mississippi.

DMV Practice Tests

These Mississippi DMV practice tests are good for the permit test, driver’s license test, and the senior citizens’ refresher test. The written part of the tests at all Mississippi DMV locations is the same. There are practice tests for a car, motorcycle, and CDL. You may view handbooks for all 3 tests. Practice tests are also en Español.

This is a collection of online sites with free test prep and study guides. These sites may require you to log in with a username and password to save your work.

Explora provides easy-to-use features and reliable content from the world’s leading magazines and reference books. A simple search and category browse quickly delivers relevant results, including primary source documents, news articles, and Associated Press videos. Topic overviews provide users with a starting point for research. Password-protected personal folders and citation help are available. Log on to these databases with your CMRLS Library card number.

Designed for touch-enabled devices such as laptops and tablets, Auto Repair Source offers a user-friendly search experience and access to a wealth of information to help users diagnose, repair and maintain today’s complex vehicles. Diagrams and images can be easily magnified and printed.

Auto Repair Source contains the following:

  • Service information optimized for the most common maintenance and repair operations
  • Technical service bulletins and recall notices
  • Component location diagrams for most domestic and imported cars and light trucks
  • Precise and comprehensive wiring diagrams for all systems
  • Maintenance schedules and estimated labor times for the most commonly performed operations in a mechanical repair shop
  • Engineering specifications/standards for the most common repairs and adjustments
  • Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs), flowcharts and step-by-step diagnostic instructions covering powertrain, chassis, body, and network communication

Unless otherwise indicated, the organizations listed provide services to people living throughout Mississippi. None of these organizations represent individuals in criminal proceedings.
